Year 1 Geometry (position and direction): describe position, direction and movement, including whole, half, quarter and three-quarter turns. Year 2: distinguish rotation as a turn in terms of right angles, clockwise and anticlockwise. Year 3: recognise that 2 right angles make a half-turn, 3 make three-quarters and 4 a complete turn.
